Tyler Erb competes in World of Outlaws eastern swing
A busy stretch with the World of Outlaws Late Model Series brought Tyler Erb and the Best Performance Motorsports team east last week, beginning with Wednesday’s Visit Delaware 51 at Delaware International Speedway.
Erb opened the week with a solid fourth-place finish before heading to Selinsgrove Speedway on Thursday, where he battled handling issues en route to a 15th-place finish in the feature.
The following two nights took the New Waverly, Texas native to Marion Center Raceway for the Connor Bobik Memorial weekend. With dual preliminary features on Friday’s schedule, Erb turned in a strong showing with a third-place finish in his $6,000-to-win prelim, joining race-winner Logan Zarin and Brent Larson on the podium.
After Saturday’s Connor Bobik Memorial finale was canceled due to inclement weather, Erb wrapped up the eastern swing on Sunday at Bedford Speedway for the Billy Winn Classic. He raced his way into the $20,000-to-win feature with a runner-up finish in his heat race before recording a ninth-place finish in the 60-lap finale.
Erb sits fifth in the latest World of Outlaws point standings.
