Mechanical issues halt Erb’s Buckeye Spring 50 run at Atomic Speedway
Tyler Erb tackled a busy tripleheader weekend, beginning Friday with the Chattahoochee Clash at East Alabama Motor Speedway.
Erb transferred into the World of Outlaws Late Model Series opener through a B-Main and advanced five positions in the 40-lap feature to finish 13th.
After recording a 14th-place finish in Saturday’s Billy Clanton Classic at Senoia Raceway, Erb made a stop at Atomic Speedway on Sunday while traveling home to compete in the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series-sanctioned Buckeye Spring 50. He showed early speed, winning his heat race over fast qualifier Garrett Alberson.
Running second in the feature, Erb’s night came to an early end when rear-end mechanical issues forced him to retire on lap 13.
