Erb finishes seventh in Wild West Shootout at CAR
Ten days into 2026, Tyler Erb and the Best Performance Motorsports team opened their season at the inaugural round of the Rio Grande Waste Services Wild West Shootout.
With 46 entries converging on Central Arizona Raceway as the early-season miniseries returned to its roots in Arizona, Erb slipped just outside the top 10 in Saturday’s $25,000-to-win feature, finishing 11th.
Erb showed improvement on Sunday, following up a second-place finish in his heat race with a solid seventh-place result in the 40-lap A-Main.
