Erb fifth in Jackson 100 at Brownstown Speedway
Tyler Erb joined 47 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series entries at Indiana’s Brownstown Speedway this past weekend for the annual running of the Jackson 100.
The action began Friday night with the C.J. Rayburn Memorial, where Erb’s heat race took a turn after he was spun while leading. He roared back with a fifth-to-first charge in his B-Main, then continued his momentum in the main event, passing 10 cars to register an eighth-place finish.
Returning Saturday for the 47th running of the $50,000-to-win Jackson 100, Erb posted the fifth-fastest time in his qualifying group before finishing second in his heat race. Starting from the third row in the 100-lap finale, he posted a consistent fifth-place finish, trailing only Ricky Thornton Jr., Devin Moran, Bobby Pierce, and Carson Ferguson at the checkered flag.
