Top-10 finish in Knoxville Late Model Nationals
Venturing into Sprint Car territory, Tyler Erb and the Best Performance Motorsports team took on Knoxville Raceway this past weekend, as the iconic half-mile hosted the Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals.
With twin preliminary features on tap for Thursday and Friday, Erb opened the weekend with an impressive podium performance. After finishing third in his heat race, the Texas native charged from 10th to second in the 25-lap feature, joining winner Garrett Alberson and third-place finisher Daulton Wilson on the podium.
Erb followed up with a 12th-place finish in Friday’s prelim before wrapping up the weekend with a solid ninth-place effort in Saturday’s 75-lap, $75,000-to-win finale.
