Terbo rolls to sixth in Farmer City 74
Tyler Erb and the Best Performance Motorsports team kicked off Illinois Speedweek on Tuesday at the newly revived LaSalle Speedway, which hosted the opening round of the five-race miniseries.
After squeezing into the FloRacing Night in America feature with the final transfer spot in his heat, Erb rolled to a 13th-place finish.
Wednesday’s outing at Spoon River Speedway saw Erb come up short in his B-Main, missing the transfer to the $20,000-to-win A-Main. He rebounded on Thursday at Lincoln Speedway, recording a 12th-place finish in the evening’s 50-lap feature.
At Farmer City Raceway on Friday for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series-sanctioned Farmer City 74, Erb qualified third-fastest in his group and backed it up with a runner-up finish in his heat. He went on to deliver one of his strongest performances of the week, finishing sixth in the $25,000-to-win feature.
Erb’s Illinois Speedweek campaign wrapped up on Saturday at Fairbury Speedway with the $30,000-to-win FALS Spring Shootout. Starting deep in the field from the 11th row, his night came to an early end with a retirement on lap 49.
