Brief History

Tyler began his racing career at the age of 14-years-old in 2011. He first raced in the Hobby Stock division in a Doug Ivey Chassis, and he enjoyed considerable success as he won nine features. His wins came at five different tracks, which included Golden Triangle Speedway (Beaumont, Texas), Baton Rouge Raceway (Baton Rouge, Louisiana), 171 Raceway (Leesville, Louisiana), Gator Motorplex (Willis, Texas), and Battleground Speedway (Highlands, Texas). His final stats in the Hobby Stock included 24 top three finishes and 28 top ten finishes.

By October 2011 Erb was ready for a new challenge and acquired an Express Limited Open Wheel Modified. He competed in twelve events, and in just his fifth event he would register a feature win at Boothill Speedway (Greenwood, Louisiana). He would win again three weeks later at Gator Motorplex (Willis, Texas) in his first appearance at the facility. In May 2012 he claimed a triumph at 105 Speedway (Cleveland, Texas) in his first visit to facility. Overall he finished in the top five on six separate occassions and only finished outside of the top ten in three starts.

May 2012 found Tyler making another move as he took over the driving duties of his Father's Super Late Model. In just his fourth start he claimed the Super Late Model feature win at Jones Motor Speedway (Chatham, Louisiana).
